The 100 Scariest Movie Moments (Part I)

Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments Part I

In 2004, Bravo premiered their four-part countdown of the 100 Scariest Movie Moments. It’s like all the best parts of one hundred scary movies all rolled up into one and has become something of a tradition to watch every year in the run-up to Halloween.  Since tomorrow is the first day of October, I thought we could get in the mood for Halloween with scary moments 100 – 76. I’ve included the list below – let me know in the comments how many you’ve seen, and stay tuned for Part II next week!

  1. I’ve seen 16 of these. The Night of the Hunter was deceptively scary. Robert Mitchum was amazing.

  2. Wow, I’ve seen 21 out of the 25 and own 19 on dvd. Love these kind of shows around this time of year >:)

  3. Reblogged this on Vampyre Fangs and commented:
THE 100 SCARIEST MOVIE MOMENTS (PART I)!
It’s about 45 minutes long but WORTH IT!
If you love horror, you MUST see this!

Thanks to Eva Halloween. You’re the best, sweetie!

  4. I can’t believe it. I’ve only seen 6 of those. I remember watching this presentation on Bravo… although it blows my mind that it was 2004.

    • You might have seen one of the later specials! It seems like they either replay them or have new ones around Halloween every year. Either way, it always seems like another welcome sign that Halloween is around the corner!

  5. That was 2004? They need to update it!

  6. I love that they put “Signs” on. A lot of people are critical of that one, but I really enjoyed it. And I liked the subplot about faith and something beyond. SPOILER ALERT! The fact that how many years earlier, his dying wife gave him the clue to save themselves, thereby restoring his faith in something bigger gave it an element of story beyond just a horror.

  7. Thanks for posting! I wish a network would air this again. But, with the Youtube channel update to the wii, I have it up there now. So thank you for posting the link!
