Darlings, we’ve had a rather spectacular Holiday of Horrors this year, from Krampus to killer Christmas presents to dear old Satan Santa. For this week’s Friday Night Features, we have one last horror short on the subject of the holidays, with Rare Exports, a 2003 Finnish production on the time-honored tradition of capturing, training, and shipping their very special Christmas commodity. Created by Jalmari Helander, this short was so popular that they went on to make an Official Set of Safety Instructions, as well as the 2010 feature-length Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale, which is currently available for instant streaming and would make quite fabulous holiday viewing. Enjoy!

Is that Acadia Einstein? It looks like him, but he left a comment, so it must be someone else.
Watched this awhile back. Such a crazy-wack-funky flick. Not sure I loved it, but it made me happy. Merry Creepmas to you!!
Happy howl-idays, lovey!
Simply Wonderful!!!!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, darling. 🙂
We watched the film developed from this a few weeks ago, very amusing.
I was wondering how they would manage to stretch that to feature length without it getting tiresome, but I thought it was quite clever.
