Tonight’s Friday Night Feature highlights another fantastic animated horror short: 2009’s Who’s Hungry, created by then first-year CalArts student David Ochs. Winner of the 2009 CalArts Character Animation Producer’s Show Peer’s Pick award, this shadowy and gore-fueled retelling of the grim fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel whispers its warnings from dark corners, relying on the animation and imagery to effectively put a new spin on a familiar story.
