The Door was Standing Open: My Name is Acadia

Hey.

I know.  You must be surprised to see someone here other than the lovely Eva.  And I have to admit I stammered a bit when she floated over to my corner of the cemetery to invite me to spend some time if her gloriously dreary mansion.  But I plan to do my best to keep the conversation dark and the topics horrifying.

My name is Acadia and I am looking forward to meeting all of you.  I have been a fan of Eva’s and I am great, which means by my logic you must be great as well.  And if I manage to entertain one or two of you I will feel like I paid for my room and board.

Like many of you, my favorite time of year is October, specifically Halloween.  But until I met dear Eva I was stuck waiting 364 days for it to come back every single year.  The Year of Halloween is a much needed oasis for me.  It’s hard trying to be funny all the time.  It’s like I am telling you I am Pagliacci except I’m not sad.  I just want you to be unnerved.  Here’s hoping!

And since I don’t want to leave you with nothing but my promises, here is a little bit of “Watchmen” where Rorschach contemplates the death of The Comedian and invokes Pagliacci.  I was told to stay on topic.

  1. Hey Acadia,
I love what Eva does here, cant wait to read what you have to say 😉

  2. Thanks. I am hoping I don’t wear out my welcome too soon. Lucky for me I am good at making quiet doors squeak and other stuff Eva likes.
