Hope you all are enjoying a leisurely first weekend of fall, darlings. The gentle change of seasons has gotten me thinking of a fey, nature-inspired Halloween look: a lovely fairy. If a fair folk costume inspires you for Halloween, here is an incredibly simple DIY fairy wing tutorial from Threadbanger, as well as three very different fairy makeup tutorials from MissChievous, Petrilude, and Mimicks. Don’t forget to click on to Pertrilude’s nymph’s crown tutorial if a sylvan coronet would complete your look.
And if you happen to venture out in search of the first splashes of fall color in the trees, don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for a few puckish sprites playing among the leaves, as well.
Just to give you a bit of extra inspiration, my dears, click below for a little gallery of vintage fairy costumes. I hope this gives you a few ideas for your own Halloween look!

I just died from excitement!
I’m working on a ton of other tutorials between now and Halloween, but this might be one of my favorites. Once you have the wings, there’s so much you can do with the costume and makeup! 🙂
Lovely!
Thank you, darling. I do love an elegant Halloween costume.
****age indeed.
Acadia, darling, you are delightfully fussy. My great age makes me, by definition, vintage.
