Last week I published six films from the first half of a “13 Movies to Watch for Halloween” countdown. I was pleased to see a “must-watch” horror list that had so many choices not usually included in these types of collections. Since a few of you have asked, here is part two of BlackArtFilm‘s 13 Movies to Watch for Halloween:
While this half of the list is consistent in terms of having unusual selections, it kind of falls apart for me in the “horror quality” department (really, Grave Encounters?). Then again, Braindead (aka Dead Alive) is never wrong, and I’m intrigued by A Tale of Two Sisters. What do you think, darlings? I so wanted to like that but eventually shut it off. For a “short film,” it felt like it had a 9 hour run time.

“A Tale of Two Sisters” is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES–bought it, watch it all the time. Really great–beautiful, too. Let us know what you think if you watch it.

A Tale of Two Sisters is one of my favorite movies EVER.
I don’t think I’ve seen any of the ones you mention. I’ll have to rent them sometime. I love the movie posters you chose.

I’ve heard some interesting things about the ABC’s of Death that makes me want to see it. There are a few of these streaming on Netflix that one could watch.
Can’t go wrong with Brain Dead, Two sisters looks intriguing, as does the devil’s Carnival (although I hear what you say) Don’t fancy the rest , I got bored with Stephen King after reading three novels and I really don’t like ‘found footage’ films they just strike me as lazy and unoriginal
A Tale of Two Sisters is a personal favorite of mine. Saw it in a small art theater, and just adored it. A horror film that managed to be frightening, while also visually beautiful. I’m going to have to check out some of the other titles on that list now.
A Tale of Two Sisters is great!! I was watching The Uninvited and it kept bothering me that I had seen it before. I finally realised it was a remake (not as good as the original).
