Kittens, if you stopped by to visit our booth at Mad Monster Party earlier this year, you might have seen a lovely little cocktail recipe book called 13 Halloween Cocktails. This creepy compendium was put together by TYoH contributor and regular commentor Ram of Boy Drinks World. Ram is a cocktail expert and lecturer (and –of course– Halloween enthusiast) who has just launched an IndieGoGo campaign to bring his unique hot pepper extract, BDW Serrano Cocktail Spice, to market. This intriguing elixir is hand made in small batches, designed to add natural heat and complex, earthy flavors to your favorite adult beverage. Ram is currently offering bottles of Serrano Cocktail Spice shipped for a $25 contribution to his campaign, plus great prizes like cocktail kits and custom fezzes for larger contributions.

Having previously tried the Serrano Cocktail Spice, I find its eye-opening spicy kick to be the perfect addition to Halloween recipes, so I was of course thrilled to feature Ram’s fundraiser here when he mentioned it.  As an added bonus to you, darling readers, Boy Drinks World has provided us with two signed copies of 13 Halloween Cocktails as a giveaway, plus Halloween recipe cards for two spicy cocktails: the hand-shaken El Diablo margarita, and the Hell’s Kitchen, a herbaceous and hot update on the Manhattan!
