Literally as soon as I get back from the Windy City (fresh from The Walker Stalker Convention), I get to hang in The Queen City of Charlotte, NC to enjoy The Mad Monster Party. Taking place at the Hilton Charlotte University Place March 21st-23rd, the guest list can only be described as ridiculous. Ridiculously good that is! I do not know where to even begin with this one. Sid Haig and Bill Moseley, Corey Feldman, Heather Langenkamp, Tom Savini…..and that is literally just the tip of this horrific iceberg! If you are a Rocky Horror Picture Fan then this is the convention for you. Several original cast members are on hand for autographs and photos. All you fine southerners out there, put a fresh coat of wax on the good ole’ General Lee and ladies squeeze into your Daisy Dukes because Bo Duke is heading to the convention. Yep, Jon Schneider will be in attendance for a screening of his new movie Smothered. Even Elvira, Mistress of the Dark will be on hand in full regalia for photo ops. As with any good horror convention these days, The Mad Monster Party has partnered with a charity. Scares That Care will be on hand raising money to “Scare Away Childhood Disease and Illness.” Be sure to check out their website to see what they are all about.
Probably the most amazing part of this convention is that our lovely haunted hostess Eva Halloween, our masked wonder Acadia Einstein, and me (Choo Fabulous in case you have forgotten) will actually be manning a vendor booth full of horrifically awesome must-haves.
