Kittens, today is the first of October, which means we are well and truly in the final countdown for Halloween! For those of you who are new to TYoH, we have quite a back catalog of DIY Halloween looks, costume tutorials and makeup tutorials from heavenly to horrid, plus a whole section of costume inspiration. But, my darlings, as much as I love our Halloween craft fashion collection, we can’t really celebrate the start of October with dusty old tutorials, can we? So just in honor of October, here’s a little something new and rather deliciously horrific: Beauty by Brig’s gruesome Evil Teddy Girl makeup tutorial!
You’ll have to do a little planning ahead to get all your materials, but everything for this tutorial should be easily available at your local big box store or Halloween shop.
– Liquid latex
– Makeup or scar wax
– Cheap face paint in black, red, and brown
– Brown eyeshadow
– Makeup sponges
– Hot glue
– Teddy Bear
– Bobby pins
– Spirit gum
– One white specialty contact lens (optional)
Pair up with normal clothes or a fairy tale-inspired outfit for a costume. If you’re the type to sing, pack up a ghastly picnic basket and skip around singing a menacing version of the Teddy Bear’s Picnic song, or team up with a friend in a blonde wig and a lot of fake gore to show what REALLY happened to that porridge-thieving hoodlum, Goldilocks. You can also finish this look off with some wicked animal claws from this tutorial by Fum’s Musings. Happy haunting!

Happy October Eva! 🙂
Happy October to you, darling. We’re in the home stretch now! 🙂
I have had Teddy Bear Picnic stuck in my head for two days now. Thanks. 🙂
We all have to be insidious in our own special way, darling. 🙂
Maybe you can help me! I work in a haunted house and they’ve put me in charge of the ‘children’s room’ scare, so I have come up with the idea of an evil teddy bear that jumps out with a chainsaw! Ok, now the part I need help with….any suggestions for making an evil teddy mask? 0.o
Hi Ted…would the tutorial in the post not work for you?
